The 19th Annual Hometown Festival on Saturday, May 27, is a full-day of FREE family-friendly fun in the heart of Round Hill!

Here is the SCHEDULE OF EVENTS for the day:

💙 8:00 a.m. — 5K and CHILDRENS FUN RUN

💙 10:00 a.m. — RHVFD OPEN HOUSE and PIG ROAST (until 2 p.m.)

❤ 10:45 a.m. — MEMORIAL CEREMONY and PAVER DEDICATION

💙 11:00 a.m. — STAGE ENTERTAINMENT on the Town Park and Youth Stage and AMUSEMENTS (Begin at the conclusion of the Memorial Ceremony)

❤ 11:15 a.m. — ART ACTIVITIES and FACE PAINTING in Town Park and Children’s Fair at Round Hill Baptist Church

💙 12:00 p.m. — ROUND HILL HISTORY DISPLAY and VIDEO at Round Hill Town Office

Children’s activities will be spread throughout downtown; food and beverages will be available all day in multiple locations. Wine and beer in the Town Park starting at 3 p.m.

Volunteers are needed through the day to help set up the park, man the information booth and run all the fun events!

Registered volunteers will receive their choice of either a free Vintage Festival T-shirt or $5 off this year’s shirt. Shirts will be available at the Town Office the week prior to the Festival or at the Information Table during the event!

New Event: Cornhole!

The Hometown Festival committee is excited to announce our INAUGURAL CORNHOLE TOURNAMENT as a new event during the 19th Annual Festival on May 27!

Sponsored by the Purcellville Cannons baseball team, the double-elimination tournament will run from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. in the Town Park. Prizes include season passes and Cannons gear. This casual tournament is free to enter; pre-registration through our Google sign-up form is strongly encouraged and will be limited to 18 two-person teams; day-of registration will also be available up to a maximum of 24 teams total. Ages 10+ please.

To help kick-off the event, the Round Hill Arts Center is also running a silent auction of four sets of cornhole boards painted by local artists! The auction will also take place in the Town Park, with the winners announced during the evening concert. Auction proceeds will benefit the Round Hill Arts Center’s Summer Art Scholarship Fund.

Music entertainment provided by local band Late Model during the tournament; beer from Dirt Farm Brewery and wine from Williams Gap Vineyard for sale in the Town Park; food vendors will also be on site throughout the day.

Stay for dinner provided by multiple vendors and evening concerts by Americana band Wicked Olde at 5 p.m. and New Orleans jazz band the Dixie Power Trio at 7 p.m.

We look forward to making this an annual part of the Best Day of the Year in Round Hill!

Other activities include a 5k, parade, pie-eating contest, cornhole tournament and downhill derby. Amusement rides and children’s activities. Food and beverages available for purchase all day, with beer and wine sales starting at 3 p.m.

Congratulations to our T-shirt Design Contest Winner!

The Hometown Festival committee is excited to announce that Round Hill ES 4th-grader Conor Dillenburg is the winner of this year’s Hometown Festival t-shirt design contest. His patriotic peace sign was the hands-down choice of the Festival committee members!

As the contest winner, Conor will be invited to ride on a Round Hill Volunteer Fire Department vehicle in the Hometown Festival parade on May 27.

T-shirts are included with all 5k race pre-registrations (https://hometownfestival.org/sign-me-up/race-registrations/) and will be available for purchase for $15 each at the Town Office the week before the Festival and at the Information Tent at the Town Park on May 27. Buy early for the best size availability!

Everyone loves a PARADE!

Registration is now live for the 19th Annual Round Hill Hometown Festival Parade on May 27, 2023!

The parade will return to its traditional route, beginning on Evening Star Drive, winding through Mountain Valley and Hillwood Estates, and then proceeding down Main Street to the Town Park on East Loudoun Street.

Lineup begins at 8:45 a.m. and the parade kicks off at 9:30 a.m.

5k Registration is LIVE

Registration for the Round Hill Hometown Festival 5k on Saturday, May 27 is LIVE! Sign up today at hometownfestival.org/sign-me-up/race-registrations!

The course starts and finishes at Round Hill Elementary School and winds its way through the streets of the Town in between. The race begins at 8 a.m.

Awards, door prizes and a kids’ 1/2 mile fun run add to the post-race excitement. (No registration necessary for the fun run).

The pre-registration fee of $30/adults and $25/under 18 includes a Hometown Festival T-shirt. Specific sizes cannot be guaranteed after May 1. Race day registration opens at 7 a.m. on May 27 and will be $35 for runners of all ages.
