Grab your saws, drills and paintbrushes — it’s derby car time!
The Hometown Festival is nine weeks away — plenty of time to build YOUR downhill derby car! For specs and some websites to help you get started, check out the Downhill derby page.
The race is a rather unstructured social event designed to encourage participation and family fun with safety as the top priority. Car design criteria are based primarily on safety and for low cost and ease of entry. This is not an official soap box derby race and handmade cars with children’s participation in construction and painting is encouraged.
