A Heads Up: We’ve Made a Few Changes…

While this year’s event will include all the features local families have come to love, there are a few changes that the Festival Committee wants to point out. Specifically:

NEW ROUTE FOR THE 5k: Instead of running through Hillwood Estates to the west of Main Street, the course will head east through Brentwood Springs at Cody Farm Drive and return to Main Street from Greenwood Drive.

NEW TIME AND STAGING ROUTE FOR PARADE: The parade line up will begin at 9 a.m. and the parade will start at 10 a.m. It will follow the same route as years past; however, parade participants will be asked to enter the staging area on the west side of Evening Star Drive by using **Greenwood Avenue and Main Street** instead of passing Round Hill Elementary School.

Both of these changes were based on feedback we received after last year’s Festival. We hope that by altering the 5k route and parade line-up entry and delaying the beginning of the parade by a half-hour we will alleviate some of the conflicts in timing and traffic for these popular events for neighborhood residents and event participants alike.

Look at our Sweet(gum) Cornhole Boards

We are SUPER excited to debut our new cornhole boards for 2025 and beyond! With artwork designed by Sweetgum Studios (sweetgumstudio.net), the boards celebrate 125 years of Round Hill landmarks!

The cornhole tournament takes place at 3 p.m. on Saturday, May 24, in the Round Hill Town Park. Thanks to the generous support of sponsors, McKinley’s Salon & Boutique/Metamorphosis Aesthetics & Wellness and Hunt Country Wildlife Control, which helped us purchase the boards, we are pleased to announce the tournament registration will remain FREE again this year. (https://tinyurl.com/hometownfestival-cornhole).

This will be a double-elimination event in the Round Hill Town Park on Loudoun Street, from 3-5 p.m. Ages 12 and up, please. Preregistration will be limited to 12 teams; day-of registration will be available in the Town Park up to a total field of 16 teams.

Run by the Purcellville Cannons baseball team, prizes will include season passes, Cannons swag, and other prizes (and bragging rights, of course!)

Beer from Dirt Farm Brewery and wine from Williams Gap Vineyard for sale in the Town Park; food vendors will also be on site throughout the day. Music provided by DJ Stacks.

Stay for dinner provided by Two Smooth Dudes, Lady K’s Cafe, and the Roaming Coyote and music by Mink’s Miracle Medicine from 5:30-8 p.m.

Let the Music Play!

We have a great line-up this year on the Town Park Main Stage from 10:00 am to 8:30 pm with something for everyone! We’ll be introducing the musical talents in detail this week, but here’s a sneak peek at the full schedule.

In addition, look forward to:
* A bubble station guided by an expert bubble performer will be on hand to create magic in the Town Park from approximately 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
* Lisa Andersen & Friends performing inside C’est Bon from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.
* Gia Russo performing on the front porch of Tammy’s Diner from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.

New Sponsorship Opportunity for 2025!

Introducing Cornhole Tournament Sponsorships! Our cornhole tournament is here to stay and, as a result, we are purchasing four sets of boards to use this year and moving forward. To offset this expense, we are looking for sponsors for our tournament. Choose between a standard sign for $250 or a larger premium sign for $500. This sponsorship is not listed on our flier, so for information or to sign up, see our Sponsorships Page or email info@hometownfestival.org.

Counting Down!

The 21st Annual Round Hill Hometown Festival is FOUR WEEKS away — on Saturday, May 24! We are looking forward to the Best Day of the Year in Round Hill and hope you will join us for:

Also look for amusement rides around town, the Round Hill Volunteer Fire & Rescue Department’s Open House, the Children’s Fair and Youth Stage at the Round Hill Baptist Church, music at Tammy’s Diner and Savoir Fare during lunch, and food and drink vendors for breakfast, lunch, snacks, and dinner!

Come early and stay late! We can’t wait to celebrate Round Hill’s 125th birthday with you!

Have You Got the Time?

A successful Hometown Festival takes many hands to help the event run smoothly. Volunteer roles range from closing intersections for the 5k and parade to helping break down the park after the evening concert. If you can spare an hour or two during the day on Saturday, May 24, please consider signing up for a shift (or two!). As a thank you, volunteers are eligible for $5 off this year’s Hometown Festival T-shirt or can chose a free pre-2024 shirt from our “vintage” collection.
